About Allison Wonderland
After graduating from the Fashion Design & Technology program at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, Allison Smith paid her dues in Montreal’s rag trade before starting Allison Wonderland in 1998 and Pillar in 2011. From a desire to create clothes for the way women really live, Allison creates go-to pieces often inspired by her favourite decade - the 70s. The result: clothes that exude both playfulness and effortless style.
Allison adheres to a “slow fashion” point of view, creating new styles ever season but with a quality and timelessness that allow her pieces to be enjoyed for years. Both lines are made in Vancouver in collaboration with local small businesses; scraps are donated to be used by local crafters as part of Allison’s commitment to a light footprint. Allison lives in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant neighbourhood with her common-law husband and their daughter.
